We saw Alison Krauss and Union Station in concert last night in Berkeley. Krauss' voice combined with Dan Tyminski's is an amazing combination of uplifting and mournful--whether the song is up- or down-tempo.
Dobro playing by Jerry Douglas was stunning.
Other than the wild, uptempo "Oh Atlanta" (thought of you, Collin!), here was my fav of the night (also my fav on the CD):
For those who don't know, George Clooney is actually lip-synching to Union Station's Dan Tyminski here:

Have always liked Alison Krauss' voice - such a beautiful voice - a mellow fire. Tyminski is a great one, as well. And Douglas is the master of his instrument.
My cousin, Roger Rasnake, wrote a song - "Endless Highway" - that Krauss cut on her album, I've Got That Old Feeling.
Thanks for the post, Kate.
