Cyclone devastation

When I heard that estimates are 100,000 dead in Myanmar (aka Burma) I thought: How can this be?

Then I read that a large percentage of the country's land is coastal.

Then I saw this "before and after" the cyclone picture . . .

i can believe 100,000 are dead. i can believe many, many more are dead. of course, the military junta won't let any outside help or observers into the country, so these are just guesses.

too bad the cyclone couldn't have targeted the burmese military.
